  Thanks for jumping into this thread.  I have tried only a couple of Dave's horns,
  but I thought they played very well and were very well made.
   
  At the time (8 or 9 years ago) I thought the horns weren't quite what I was looking
  for, and were certainly much more expensive than a custom horn from, say, Cliff
  Blackburn.  I'd be interested to play one of the newer, lighter horns.
   
  I'm glad people like Monette are trying new things in trumpet/moutpiece design.
  Frankly, the level of committment to craftmanship at Conn Selmer just doesn't
  seem to be high enough, even though really good horns come out from time to time.
  I'm glad there are still smaller companies pushing the envelope of craftsmanship.
