I tried a 7E when I was searching for a picc mouthpiece and couldn't 
play on it at all, so I'm not convinced it's the answer for everyone.

If the 3C is a newer one it's probably small enough unless you're 
playing screaming high stuff all night long.  I'm tempted to suggest 
that you try a bunch of 3C's until you find one you like, but that would 
tweak all the Bach guys more than I care to. :-)

If you've got the money you will probably find more efficiency (and 
therefore more endurance) with a GR piece.  If you're looking for more 
endurance I would suggest you visit the Chase Sanborn site and try his 
standard mouthpiece.  It is very close to your 3C with a little more sizzle.
