Absolutely.  I didn't see (or was too lazy to comb through the previous 
emails to see) descriptions of Andrew's situation.

But yes - I would NEVER suggest that a kid in high school, attempting to get 
some control of B's, C's and an occassional D in their school big band, 
switch to a shallow lead-type mouthpiece.  Just select a 'rational' all 
around mouthpiece and stick with it.

As you suggested Glenn, the right kind of practice and tenacity in routine 
should be the preferred path.
