This reminds me of an earlier comment mentioning the (supposedly?)
matched set of Bach C's that the CSO received decades ago when Herseth
was still playing. Given the caliber of the players, I wonder
sometimes how much that really mattered as far as the blend or much of
anything else was concerned.
