There was a story circulating around several years ago. The Tokyo Brass Quintet was playing at the ITG conference. As is their custom they are not seen until the performance, then they circulate around the crowd. One of the trumpet players was trying out new horns. While at the Bach booth, he picked up a factory C and started to play. After a while he walked over to his own horn, a Yamaha I think, took it out of the case and threw it in the trash then put the Bach in his case.
