[TPIN] Why are the Tpin posts coming out weird????

There is no weirdness to posting to TPIN Mike. A Yahoo Group is not "just
like tpin." Yahoo groups run on completely different software and they
process HTML code. You are using your AOL software to send mail that has
HTML coding (and other) coding in it. When it comes to the TPIN server it is
converted into plain text. The question marks are left over code (most
likely line returns) that isn't necessary for just the text of your message.
Yahoo groups take your HTML code and makes it look like it does in AOL.
AOL sucks big time because it simply doesn't play well with others and never
ever has. If you can set your AO-SMELLS software to send PLAIN TEXT - which
I'm pretty sure you can, then it will appear on TPIN just like it does on
your screen.
Why does TPIN not deal with html code? Because it is not an web-based,
browser-based piece of software. It deals in email only and not everyone
uses HTML capable email software. TPIN is an email discussion list and
generates very little bandwidth because all the messages are in PLAIN TEXT
and must be in PLAIN TEXT for the digest version to be generated and not be
HUGE.
This is one of many reasons why I think AOL sucks and is a huge rip-off. You
are better off ditching it for a local ISP. It will be cheaper, faster and
will work better with other systems.
