[TPIN] Another Bb or C question? Need help with Wine Glass

I recently told my wife about Nick Drozdoff's wine glass breaking
(http://www.nickdrozdoff.com/, go to ONLINE LESSONS and scroll down to the
bottom). So for Christmas I got two cheap wine glasses (Wal-Mart). Nick made
it look so easy I thought I could do it. Didn't work, so I have some
question for him or anyone else.

BY FAR the most important -- The only horn I had home was my Yamaha Chicago
C from Christmas Eve gigs. When watching again today I noticed that Nick was
using a Bb. Now I realize that if I did this in my class and someone showed
up with a C to break the glass, I'd have to tell them to go home and get the
Bb -- that a C is not appropriate for this!!! In fact, I was just showing
off that I could transpose that note and play it on my C. Problem was that
it didn't work!!!! So this MUST be a Bb gig!!!! I thought about trying my
Eb, or F, or G or Picc, or Db cornet, but figured if the Pro's that do this
use a Bb I should also. I've never seen this done on a C. I can't think of a
single time I've seen a wine glass shattered by a trumpet that WASN'T in Bb.
(by the way, I couldn't write any of that without laughing, so don't take it
too seriously....)

Now for the other questions

1. It appears in the video that that trumpet note is a lower octave than the
vibrating glass. Does it matter?

2. In the video it broke on a series of notes and not just one blastissimo.
Does that matter?

3. How about the thickness or quality of the glass? Does that matter?

Is the Master himself around now (Nick??)
