exposes  a bug in the Mozilla Thunderbird Email client program (a popular
client).  It thinks that the > character is part of a quoted email line
and so  replaces it with a coloured vertical line. Unfortunately it then

lines etc.  What the display ends up with is a series of varying length
coloured lines  which the reader has to scroll past to then see what Mike

Maybe if Mike  changed the divider line to use some other character - or
maybe letting  list members know of the problem and the fix may be worth

know.

Boy, one just can't win, can one?????????
I have never heard of this before from anyone, on any list I have ever been  
on.  Do you use some special weird email form?  
Sorry if I am causing you problems by trying to make things a little  clearer
