You quoted two entire messages simply to tell Leon thanks. You added nothing
to discussion and certainly didn't need to quote any more than Leon's first
sentence. Keep in mind there were also three footers at the end.

THEN you took a PRIVATE email I sent you off-list and posted it to TPIN and
again, included all the text possible. Publicly posting a private message is
considered bad form on internet discussion lists. So is the "Thank you"
message. Generally, the "Thank you" message or the "me too" message should
be in private mail anyway.

Yes, you are allowed reference, but you should limit it to only that part of
the message that is relevant to your specific comment.
