Bob DeSavage and all, some of the self-lubricating aspects of
electroless nickel come at high temperatures. Now, whether that applies
or not, which it probably should, at lower temperatures, I'm not 100%
sure.
On the collecting particle side, I guess I can see the possibilities.
But, I think, too, that maybe the porus aspects are over-rated when
thinking about collecting dust particles in that the molecules would be
too small to hold dust particles one way or the other. I just don't know
whether, for instance, your skin which sweats holds more or less dust
because it's porus. Or, is it like our feet stepping on dirt which,
although having space between it doesn't fully allow our feet through.
(although in stating this I now feel stupid because we do leave
footprints)
Interesting thoughts you bring up. Maybe John Lynch or one of the other
physicists or engineers could chime in on the holding properties and if
they're too small to matter or not.
