[TPIN] "Art" trumpet/lamp

I'd have to agree.  I have an "art" trumpet in my gameroom.  

I went to the Chris Botti concert last night and took the horn with me and
got it signed by Chris.

It’s a 1953 Blessing Standard in good shape for its age but has some valve
wear.  I didn't feel comfortable enough with it to save for my kids and have
other horns available for them.

I don't plan on making it into a lamp but it is sitting on a trumpet stand
in my gameroom on display.

Yikes Jeanne...

Isn't that a variation of the "Eat the food on
your plate because kids are starving China" line?

I don't think that there is a single one of us who
if personally aware such a needy and motivated child
wouldn't help him out. I have. My dad lost his job at
Studebaker when I was a kid, and my teacher "Mac Hall"
offered to continue teaching me for free. Dad was
to proud to accept such charity and I guess they worked
something out.  I never forgot.
