Something tells me I shouldn't dive into this thread, but
  I'll do it anyway.
   
  Let's give Bach a chance to actually ship a pile of horns
  and then test them to see if they are any good.
   
  As for Bach's recent quality, I played five Bach 43s
  the other day and they were all pretty good, with one
  maybe a bit inferior to the others.  Still, I would not
  be ashamed to perform on any of them.
   
  And I wish we could leave the derogatory comments
  about "scab" labor out of the discussion.  I realize this
  may be asking too much, but I would be reluctant to use
  the term to talk about anyone.
   
  If the horn is a dog, let's call it that.  If you feel the
  horn's maker has a similar status, well, I'd rather not
  hear about it.
