Sounds to me like the influence of Andrew Nauman's experience with Edwards
  Instruments is beginning to show up in the Schilke line.

Schilke's first production horns were made in 1956. They just celebrated 
their 50th anniversary. The current models were introduced starting in 1961.

Well, as part of their anniversary, Schilke just introduced a new large bore 
symphonic trombone.
