[TPIN] Amado water keys

I have been playing my "Wild Thing" on gigs for the last month or so and
find that no amount of blowing or shaking can remove more than a small
amount of the water from the tuning slide through the Amado water key. I
can remove the slide an dump 5 or 10 times the that amount. Is there a
solution to this short of replacing the "Amado" with a conventional
water key. I know these are designed to not protrude into the tubing but
gurgling halfway through a chart is no fun. As an aside, I have noticed
that opening the Amado key does not kill the tone, whereas a
conventional key can only allow a 4th space D to sound when opened.
Suggestions anyone?
Cheers, -Bob
