Hey Rob Jonas, I didn't know you started on a Besson! So did I...except
it's a Brevete with a smallish bore, an intermediate model. It says it was
made in London on the bell. I still have it. I started my son playing it
after he started on Cornet. It's so light-weight that the bell creases
easily. I creased it as a kid and my unfortunately son has done the same
years later. Now my son's playing a '54 Olds Super in HS....courtesy of
TPINer Stan Chappell. I don't know whether the Brevette is worth repairing
this time. Anyone know about the London Brevetes? I think it was made in
the 50's. My mom bought it for me when I was 13 after starting me on an
Olds Ambassador. I played the Brevette in junior high when I had braces for
a couple of years.
