Hey Rob Jonas, I didn't know you started on a Besson!  So did I...except
it's a Brevete with a smallish bore, an intermediate model.  It says it was
made in London on the bell.  I still have it.  I started my son playing it
after he started on Cornet.  It's so light-weight that the bell creases
easily.  I creased it as a kid and my unfortunately son has done the same
years later.  Now my son's playing a '54 Olds Super in HS....courtesy of
TPINer Stan Chappell.  I don't know whether the Brevette is worth repairing
this time.  Anyone know about the London Brevetes?  I think it was made in
the 50's.  My mom bought it for me when I was 13 after starting me on an
Olds Ambassador.  I played the Brevette in junior high when I had braces for
a couple of years.
