Like most everyone, I struggled thru the Arban method when I was a kid. I
wonder though, how many trumpet students can honestly say that they mastered
it or even come close to mastering it. Would it be more correct and honest
to say that most of us DABBLED in it? But as I get older, I still value
Arban as a reference to go to when I get into trouble with things I play on
a normal basis. Many call Arban's "The Bible". Maybe true, but nowadays, I
see the book as being more like an encyclopedia. Just my 2 cents plain.
