[TPIN] Transposing and writing for trombones

Hi

This year I have the good fortune of having a trombone to accompany my 
herald trumpet at the New Jersey Rennasiance Festival And Kingdom,
"www.njkingdom.com".  However, most of the music and fanfares I use does 
not have trombone parts.  I need to write them out, along with harmony when 
I can.  How do I do this?  He needs to have the lead parts too, to cover 
for me on days when I have paid gigs and can't make the Faire.
