[TPIN] Road Horns

Although I am always amused by it, this is not the "playing while
driving" topic.

I have a friend at work who is working on a comeback.  He'd like to not
lug his sentimental Strad around, and is looking for a road horn.  He
fell in love with my Conn Director cornet (circa 70's Japan).  I've been
able to help it out by weird things like adjusting the 2nd valve slide,
etc.  

The eBay low-end marketplace is awash in crap, but there are likely some
low-cost gems in there.  I'm looking for recommendations on not-so-bad
horns to steer him toward, as well as some advice on definite no-no's.
