blending. For  example, if the attacks aren't together, that will be noticed
even if all  the players are blowing Bach 37s with 3Cs. But if the attacks
are together  so you hear only ONE attack, and the dynamics all support the
lead, but  with the harmony voices just strong enough, and all the nuances
are lined  up, then it would sound like one instrument. That's what you need
for  blend.
