Mouthpieces are tools. You use what works for you. You wouldn't used
a sledgehammer to drive a nail into a 2x4? But.. with all mouthpieces
there are always tradeoffs. Also remember there is usually a period of
time called the "honeymoon" phase with a mouthpiece. So, give it some
time and see if it still works for you. Watch out for negative changes
in your tone quality, problems with articulation or flexibility.
If a mouthpiece helps you play better, it's a good thing. Just watch
for other changes in your playing. It will start as subtle hints, and
can grow into real problems...
and BTW: many people consider a 3C a large mouthpiece... it's not small
at all.

I recently got this "screamer" which makes playing all those high notes sooo easy...effortless almost....! Ive done classical trumpet from day one....and am now doing the jazz thing.. Any advice weather to stick with the big boy or plunge into the realm of the "screamers"????
