I agree, but I used to hear it all the time.

True, but I was just responding in relation to the message. I have found that, in my personal
experience, I don't need and extreme range. The highest note in any music (in the groups
where I play) is an I, and usually it's only a C or D, so range is really irrelevent. I can play
higher than that on any of the mouthpieces I use.
