[TPIN] Tower of Power in Charlotte last night

Dude,
 
    I saw the band live right after the Monster on a Leash recording came out.  It was the best live sound I have ever heard.  That was 91.  Lee Thornburg and Greg Adams will never be duplicated.  Both played oldish Callichio's . You just dont' hear that sound any other place.  I've never heard a sound like that before from any other players.  Every time since then, the mix wasn't as good. Are all rock n roll soundmen deaf?  
 
wht kinda horns are those guys using?  Could you tell?  Or do some of you TOP fans know?  And who out there in the tpt world is playing on old Calicchio's?
