[TPIN] MPC: personal question

Hi all!
I've got a question concerning mouthpieces. I neither have the time nor
the will to inform myself extensively on all the mouthpieces available
out there... so thanks for every advice and suggestion! So here we go:
I've been playing my starting-MPC, a Bach 3C, for about the first 10
years of my trumpet-"career". I don't know exactly when, but I got to a
point where I just couldn't improve my range; I always got stuck at high
C, which I could never play strong and clear. So I searched for ideas
and found TBE. I started practicing and there I also got the idea of
smaller mouthpieces. I went trying some and decided the Bobby Shew -
Lead felt nice. I continued practicing TBE (until now and I'll go on
with it) and used the Bobby Shew MPC for about 2 years now. Sometimes I
got the feeling of "locked" lips, such that the air flow almost
jammed... so lately I put on my good old 3C and it felt very comfortable
- and I could play in the upper register almost as easily as with the
Bobby Shew.
Now, problem 1 is: I liked the more aggressive sound of the BS Lead...
the 3C sounds warm and soft (that's fine, of course, but not for my needs)
And problem 2: My endurance is not that good (mainly because I just
don't have the time to play every day, and if I do, it's not exceeding
one hour), but I've to play gigs of up to 2 hours of length, mostly lead
and playing solos all the time...
In short: I need something in between the 3C and the Bobby Shew. A bit
smaller / tighter than the 3C, but with a good flow through it and the
same comfortable, soft feeling for the lips. Also the sound should be
something in between. Thank you for all suggestions for mouthpieces I
should give a try.
Wish you a nice week,
regards, Jonas
