Thanks to all who recommended the post-it alternative to lots of pencil 
marks.

I picked up some of the flourescent  little post-it flag strips and put 
'em in my book. The bright color makes it a lot easier to draw my eyes 
to the cuts and cues. I need all the help I can get, and the post-it 
suggestion is a good one. The ease of clean up after the show is a 
bonus.
