[TPIN] PRICE FOR LESSONS

I think some of this depends on the student. A young person just trying
to learn to play the horn might well not need, or want an hour. I know
that I need at least that.

I have taken lessons from three folks since coming back. Pops was the
first and I spent a whole morning with him and got a lot out of that.
After that I have had an ongoing relationship with Bob Odneal. Some of
what we do takes him a few moments to point something out at his jazz
improv class i attend, and sometimes we sit down for a lesson, and that
takes a while.
I have also taken some lessons from Dennis Dotson. Those take at least
an hour because we are doing two things. Working on my "style" (I at
least at sounded way to much like a "comeback guy who had only studied
classical). That is the playing part. But then we sit and talk about
specific tunes I am playing and types of chord progressions and how to
work through some of them. Doing both those things simply could not get
done well in less then an hour.

I have been blessed, each of those guys has been great (and fun)
