Another told me that since the bottom valve caps are nippled, it's
probably pre 1890.
Stamped onto the A slide are the letters, "LO" meaning this instrument
is in low pitch.
Is any of this identifying it's age?

>From everything I've seen and researched in the past, I believe that the
practice of marking horns High Pitch and Low Pitch didn't come about
until about 1896. Just because the bottom valve caps are nippled, does
not mean that it is pre 1890's, I have a horn that I can confirm was
made in 1925 and it has the nippled caps.
