[TPIN] Opinons needed

I tried one out for about an hour last week in San Francisco. In my
opinion it is a very fine general purpose professional horn that I
would be happy to play in just about any situation. The intonation
is great, the response is very good, valves are smooth and fast, and
best of all, it has a wide dynamic range that is very consistent
throughout its range, i.e. it will take a lot of air without breaking
up. It is a medium weight horn, and it has a reasonable amount of
resistance which I like. I thought it might be brighter sounding,
i.e. more of a lead player horn, but it actually has a nice balanced
sound and feel somewhat (dare I say it) close to a lot of Bachs. The
overall tone, while consistent and solid, was very good, but not all
that exciting to me. I expected a bit more resonance and a more
complex tonal core (hope that makes sense). I recently bought a
Yamaha Chicago C, and am still amazed by its colorful tone,
resonance, and how efficiently it plays. I was thinking one of the
Yamaha Bbs might give me a similar thrill (haven't tried a NY or
Chicago Bb yet). So, I liked the Bergeron Yamaha LA, but was not
wowed enough to make the big leap. I am curious what others have
experienced, and if anyone has tried one of the NY or Chicago Artist
Model Bbs that Yamaha has come out with. Dave
