Well, Alison Balsam is certainly getting the attention of a lot of us on this list isn't she :-)

Now to make many of you a teeny bit jealous I just received this in my inbox:

"Alison Balsom, a very lovely and talented young soloist from the UK is doing a concert at Dominion Chalmers with Matthew Larkin. She has a most impressive résumé and you can have a brief listen to her at her website. She has spent about four years recently studying with Håken Hardenberger. She reminds me of Sergei Nakariakoff. A little prettier though. It's on Monday, 16 April at 8:00 pm. Get your tickets early, this might sell out. Not to be missed!"

I encourage any of you in the Ottawa/Montreal area to attend. I know that I'm certainly looking forward to it!
