[TPIN] Dry or moist lips

I play kind of 'semi-wet' - wet the rim of the mouthpiece, but don't slobber
up my chops a lot.

A trumpet player friend wants to know why his lips slip off of the mp unless
they are dry....I've always thought that a wet embouchure was the only way
to go...
Any good advice out there?
