I think you're onto something here Mike. If any of my kids said something
like this, I would be spending extra time to get to the root of this
feeling, in particular the anxiety about performing. Definitely some 'slips'
are showing here...

As for the money - if that's the main motivation, I'd say become a lawyer
and play for fun.

As you all know, I did receive a very nice email message from Alison. That
being said, this statement has NOTHING to do with just being a female  
trumpet player.
