I believe the Binak Pro should be used on newer horns or those with tight valves.  The Binak 495 would be used on older horns.  I use the 495 and I happen to have a fairly new trumpet (about 1 year old).  It works great on my trumpet.  I've never had a valve stick and all I use is a couple of drops per week.
I should mention that I have Jupiter Flugelhorn and could not keep my valves from sticking with other oils.  I was really frustrated with it.  After using the Binak, I no longer have any trouble.
