Hi Jermu,
Not only did I reveal about the "secret" method from Finland, "Turvat
Kuntoon", I also got a long time lurker from Finland out. Talk about a
great "outing"! (There is btw a nice piece for brass called "Outings
for Brass").
Back to "Turvat Kuntoon":
I looked up the review in ITG Journal that you mentioned, Jermu.

I have to tell you, it was not a good review - but there was a quote
from Esko Heikinnen that was very useful. I have added that to my
article:

The reviewer say that "Turvat Kuntoon" is similar to James Stamp !!??
In my opinion (as I already said to TPIN) I find things in "Turvat
Kuntoon" that connect to "The Balanced Embouchure" - but also to the
teaching of Caruso - like the long setting.
The use of soft playing in high register I have found in two other
methods, Bob Odneal's "Casual Double High C" and Mark van Cleave's
"Maximizing Practice".
In Stamp we find lip and mpc buzzing and note bending an a lot of
pedal notes. Nothing of this is found in "Turvat Kuntoon".
Jermu, if you see Esko Heikkinen - give my regards to him and thank
him for a great book!
Ole
