	Um, have you ever heard Doc Severinsen play?  Maynard Ferguson?
Conrad Gozzo?  Wayne Bergeron, Chuck Findley, Gary Grant, Jerry Hey?  Any
number of players on this list even with a solid high G?  All the thousands
of great trumpet players that I've not mentioned?

	Those guys don't "deviate!"  And it sounds incredible.

I agree. Especially since I have never heard anyone play that high on a 
trumpet with a clear, steady tone, held on frequency without significant 
deviation.....IOW, the trumpet sounds horrible when played more than a few 
notes above second ledger line C. - They make instruments that sound OK when

played in that range....The piccolo (flute) and the violin. I don't know why

trumpet players don't check those notes to the power and let those 
instruments have them. But, for some crazy reason, they don't (or won't). 
They insist on playing the instrument where it was never meant to go. And 
where, IMO, it sounds decidedly bad.
