I remember a couple of my own performances moving ME to tears (in a good way).
One was when the first local kid died in Iraq, and at the church service that
Sunday we did the hymn based on the Navy Hymn about protecting travelers (in
separate verses) in the air, sea, and land. After the last verse was over, and
strictly on the spur of the moment, I played Taps. Almost couldn't finish it.
The other was in church on a Father's Day when one of the hymns was "How Great
Thou Art" - my Dad's favorite hymn. Although he had been gone for 15 years, I
felt his presence very close to me as I was playing the introduction acapella.
