This is interesting. Because of sleep apnea or however you spell it, I
use one of those breathing machines, so I have to lock the area between
nose and mouth. I never thought o fit in terms of trumpet playing til
this subject came up, but I never seem to have had a problem. My air all
comes out of my mouth when I play.
Now there is, of course, the possibility that some of it goes back into
my head, which might get me called an air head!
But, that brings up some interesting questions about compression and air
speed being diminished because of some air escaping through the nose.
