[TPIN] Legacy Brass Ensemble at Charlotte Mint Musuem Nov. 11th at 3:00 p.m.

Fellow TPIN'ers,
 
I just wanted to pass along a little good news:  
 
My Quintet, Legacy Brass Ensemble, is performing a new piece for Brass  
Quintet that was commissioned by the Mint Museum of Charlotte.  The  four movement 
piece is composed by Mark Adam Watkins and we're very  excited about the 
premier!  If any TPIN members are able to  come, feel free to drop by!  The concert 
is at 3:00 p.m. on  November 11th in the auditorium at the Mint Museum.  
 
 
Also, My R&B band (Powerhouse-I know, I know, there are about  a thousand 
bands around with that name....) won the 2nd place award at the  Charlotte Blues 
Festival held at the Double Door Inn in Charlotte on Sunday  October 6th. The 
band is still very new and personnel (a problem at the festival  as the singer 
was ten days new to the group at the time) are still settling  into place.  
Please send (offlist is fine) any good sources for Horn  Band charts as we need 
to fill out our set lists out with Christmas on the  way......
