[TPIN] FS - Stomvi Master Piccolo

Hi All,

I've decided to sell my beloved Stomvi Master Bb/A piccolo trumpet. I have
often called this the "best piccolo on earth" and sold my Blackburn piccolo
several years ago to buy it. I think it has a great sound and is easy to
play compared to other piccs with a similar tone quality.

I tried the new Schilke P-7 today and have decided to buy it. They are
marketing it as an "Orchestral Picc" because it has a bigger trumpet sound
than the typical piccolo. Since I usually only play picc these days as a
soloist and since I have a more traditional picc available to me when I do
need to play with others, I've decided to make the switch.

The Stomvi Master I have comes with two bells. One gold plated and one solid
sterling silver. It also comes with a nice semi-hard case designed for the
horn. This is the model designed with Maurice Andre. Mine is unique in that
it is gold plated. They don't make them in gold plate as standard anymore.

The current street price for this horn in silver is around $2800. I was told
today that Stomvi raised all their prices effective November 1, so new ones
are probably going to sell for $3000 or more. Certainly the gold plating
will add $400-500 and is a special order.

So, I'm asking $2250 for mine which is a good price given the market of high
end piccolo trumpets these days. It is a used horn but has no dents. It did
have a small one on the bell near the screw bell ring that I had taken out
and there is still a very small flaw there that is very hard to see. There
are some other minor scratches considered normal wear and tear for a used
horn, otherwise it is in excellent shape.

I thought I would throw it out to TPIN before putting it on ebay or Trumpet
Herald.

Please feel free to ask me questions if you are interested in this fine
instrument.
