I remember when this book was ALL the rage in the late 70's. Of course MF's
band was amazing then and we all worshiped him. So, when it came out about
this book, we all bought it. It was EXPENSIVE too for the time. A little
hard back book. Very mysterious. A friend of mine thought he'd probably be
going to hell for reading it. :-)
One of the things I remember in the book is they recommended nose breathing
and keeping your nasal passages clear. To do this, they tell you how to get
used to inhaling water and ultimately salt water through your nose to keep
everything clear. I was really into this and learned to do it. I usually did
it in the shower by cupping warm water and just inhaling it through one
nostril, then the other. Salt water was a bit more challenging, but I got
used to that too.
Funny thing.. I couldn't play any higher after doing that.. Dangit. :-)
