OK. How about this (I just checked the configuration of the slides on a
Getzen 3895; yours may be different):
 
What you need is a flugel stand that leans the horn about 45 degrees to
the left and holds the valves down; that way all the water should drain
into the first bell curve, and then all you'd have to do is pick it up,
rotate it back toward you 360 degrees, the water would spill out into
your lap, and you're ready to play!
 
Tell me when you want me to stop. ;^]

	I will indeed try this (out of curiosity more than anything
else)... but this is at best acadmic.  When you're on the stand, and
you've got 4 bars to switch from trumpet to flugel, there isn't much
time for "spit valve acrobatics".
