Hi. I'm a grade 8 trumpet player, and been playing for over 10 years. Around last March I started to go down hill, and found it harder to play, and couldn't play for as long. I also now find it hard to play sticato single notes. I don't know why, but I think it's got something to do with this, which I started to feel at the same time; since then its like when I put the mouthpiece to my lips I can feel my two front teeth move very slightly, and they sort of feel to push together. It's really hard to describe, but the best I can do is say that it feels like the teeth catch each other. It's not noticable, apart from I can feel it, and i'm sure this is what is making my playing seem weaker. I had never felt this before, and so i'm sure it is this, especially as they coincided with each other. In addition, it's not just when I play, but if I put pressure on them normally, I can feel the same thing happen. I was wondering whether anyone knows what to do about it and has got any advice, or at least knows what i'm talking about, please. Thanks.
