Wow!  Thanks to all of you who sent email messages and cards!   What a nice 
surprise to open the computer up to. Today is the big "Medicare"  birthday.
I can't figure out where all the years have gone. 
Has anybody else ever done this for themselves?
65 years old
53 years playing trumpet
48 years "jobbing"
41 straight years on the road (averaging at least six months a year on the
road)
32 years married to the same woman (she is a saint - a pretty good record
for a road musician...huh?)
28 year old daughter who is doing very well in the banking business and
living a great life (good sax player - but got "smart" about how to make a
living) Guess I could come up with more "milestones." but these seemed to be
the most important ones I could think of for now.
It has been a great life so far.  I have seen most of the world; have  a
wonderful family; have had the opportunity to perform with many fabulous
musicians and bands; have had some fabulous teachers and mentors; have many
friends everywhere that I keep in touch with (including TPIN),
............AND I  plan to play trumpet for at least another 25
years!!!!!!!!!
Hope to see many of you in person during my upcoming clinic tours and the
Kenton Alumni Band Midwest tour next year.
