Like playing golf:
"Firm grip, knees gently bent, but lose, full - but easy - swing back, keep
the left arm straight, follow through, rotate the pelvis, connect with the
ball on the sweet spot.. AND KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN..."
And... Relax???

I lock my stomach. Not in a death grip but definately tightened. I believe
the concept of anything with the stomach is pretty much for compression on
the lungues. I used redirected pressure (kind of a yoga zen thing) in a
sense of putting tension in places that have nothing to do with the trumpet
for the sake of the trumpet. In short, chest up, shoulders relaxed, corners
firm, pelvis tilted, stomach locked (kinda a middle crunch) then day dream
about creaming sax players heads.
Confusing enough?....:)
