Sonare Trumpets has come out with a new Bb with sterling silver leadpipe and
a new C trumpet that will compete extremely well with Bach/yamaha/schilke if
people will give them a chance. Their price point is lower - around $1600,
they play really well.. I mean really well and they seem to be very
consistent.

I'm now recommending them to my students buying their first C trumpet over
anything else.

They are not made in China... They are made in Germany and the leadpipe was
designed by Cliff Blackburn.

I have played some really good chinese pro line trumpets that play very well
also. Eastman was the brand. No idea how they hold up over time, but I was
impressed with the new ones. I think they go for around $900.
