[TPIN] Re: Handling a mouthpiece/trumpets

One of my pet peeves is folks setting mouthpieces on the 
rim.  It will dent and scratch the very surface we touch 
with our lips, and I know my mouthpieces are in much 
better condition than most as a result of NOT SETTING THE 
MOUTHPIECE ON THE RIM!  I mention this to every student 
before loaning them a mouthpiece and they still do it, 
right in front of me, out of habit.

I am being more careful with handling Schilkes than I was 
with Bach horns.  They seem to dent a little easier.
