They sleep on a $50,000 mattress resting on top of four of their Hummers, and
tell their employees "Oh, I'm sorry, we can't give you a cost of living
increase this year. Again. We're broke. Oh? These Hummers? I got them on
sale!"
I used to work for that guy. I got laid off too. Outsourced.
As far as the Prelude instruments, I'm just staying away. Band Now and
Barringer too, I think are the brands. I'm not actually shopping for
trumpets at the moment, but I'm going to have to buy a pair of flutes soon
(or one flute, and sink some cash into fixing up mine), so I'm looking at
what's what, and I see they have Prelude flutes too. This new Prelude thing
just smacks of outsourced cheapass wearing a fancy badge to try to give it a
more legitimate appearance on the shelf. Well, like the new "Olds
Ambassadors" some bunch of hacks were foisting upon the world awhile back.
(Not sure if they still are. Probably are, but I hope not.)
(Disappointed that my daughter doesn't want to play the trumpet after all, but
glad she doesn't want to play a reed. Do Re SQUEAK Fa Sol SQUEAK SQUEAK
SQUEEEEEEEEEEAK!!)
