I think you are completely wrong about that - or at  least exaggerating.
 
There will still be American made horns in 5 years and there will still be  
American made horns in 10 years - 15 years?  Not sure.... but if all the  horns 
are of foreign manufacture in 15 years, it will not be an isolated result  of 
changes in the musical instrument manufacturing business.  It will be  
because of a more global or national economic change (or evolution).
 
There will be more junky horns that are outsourced from Asia, and their  will 
be also higher quality horns that are outsourced.  
 
Yes, it is capitalism... and the evolution of capitalism... but part of  
capitalism is supply and demand - with the emphasis on demand... and if the  
demand remains for American made horns, there will continue to be American made  
horns manufactured.....The question at that point is - what will be the price of 
 American made horns?  Will they be like Monettes (in price) because the  
quantity of horns manufactured is fewer thus the cost of each horn is  higher?  
Will the supply/demand ratio be so ridiculous that the price will  be grossly 
inflated?
