Well so, What's about Thein, Schagerl, Kührner, B&S, Scherzer, Alexander,
Stomvi, Fides, Possenger, Smith-Watkins, Taylor, Spiri, Wedgwood... ???
 
None of these trumpets could be rated under 9,5/10. Also, most of them could
not be bought at the price of a Strad. (they worth).
 
The question is that if the USA players start buying USA trumpets and
discriminating "foreign" brands (TOP brands, not junk), in the rest of the
world will happen exactly the same.
What it means ???
Just check how many Bach, Conn or other trumpets made in the USA are sold in
the USA market and how many are exported... you'll be surprised. If sales
outside USA fails down, some makers would have serious troubbles. That's it.

Sorry, but my personal collection (B flats section -not rotary-) is up to 38
horns (none older than 30 years). I know what I'm talking about.
 
Think globally, act locally.

Sorry, but I must disagree with you.  Getzen is making TOP quality  horns 
along with the rest!! As are Edwards and Marcinkiewicz.  We  shouldn't "put
down" 
what we don't know about.......
