Les and everyone,

Can we find some documentation on this? I know its true, but I need to
convince a parent of this... Their freshman in high school kid is to get
full braces in January and his front teeth are perfect. They say his "bite
is off" They are worried he will have jaw problems and teeth grinding
problems in the future. I'd like to show her some documentation that this is
a racket.

My daughter is 16 and just got her second round of full braces. She had a
first round and it didn't help at all. Her teeth and jaw did not grow
correctly and are very problematic. She really does need them.

I was also to get braces in high school and refused. My teeth are fine, but
I have had some jaw and alignment problems..nothing serious, but I often
wonder if the braces would have helped.
