I plan on actually buying one of the Costco Mt. Vernon trumpets soon. A
high school band director and more than semi-pro player I know, and play
in a wind ensemble with, uses a ratty old Elkhart made of Mt. Vernon
vintage parts, and we've both looked at the "Mt Vernon" and thought it
looked remarkably well made for the price. Yes, it might be cr*p. It's
time to buy one and see just how close to an old Strad it really is.

If I think it's not as playable as my good old Olds Ambassador, I'll
take it back to Costco and say that it isn't a good trumpet, I want my
money back. Maybe in two months, maybe two years. That fantastic return
policy is the great thing about Costco.

cheers
Greg
