Mark,  what a story...you must have been really talented at age 17  to be able to work with Leon and Benge to develop a trumpet.
At 17, I was in marching band, chasing girls, and picking my pimples...lol

Even to this day I can truly say that I only know what a trumpet manufactures want me to know. I ask, is this a professional horn..?

They will say anything to sell that horn.  If I question their answer, they tell me that it would cost $10,000. to get a  truly professional horn.

That I would never have the talent to play that horn...AND IF I COULD PLAY IT , I WOULD ALREADY HAVE THE HORN...BENGE OR WHO EVER WOULD

JUST GIVE THE HORN TO ME FOR MY ENDORSEMENT. So my question is ..what horns do you consider truly professional..Is it the bore, the leadpipe,

the size of the bell, the weight.. When reading Miles Davis and Dizzy's bio's...there was no mention of a professional grade horn...Miles would hock his in a minute

and then borrow anything he could find to be able to play that night.....

Is this just baloney ...please give me the straight dope here.

Good luck with your tour.......will try to be in Brandson..Hope you will have CD's  upon your return.

Rick
